Cooking with the German class

You can't cook and learn a language at the same time? You bet! That's what our German course proved to us on 29 March.

As a German course, we meet every week on Wednesdays at 6pm in the SMD club room to talk together about various grammar topics, everyday topics and vocabulary.

To share German culture with the international students in a practical way, we decided to cook a traditional German dish together - a "Bauerntopf" (farmers' pot).

A total of about 20 students from different countries, such as India, Iran, Nepal, Russia, China, Israel and Kenya, came to help cut, peel and fry the vegetables and meat and at the same time we learned many new words about the topic of cooking.

We then enjoyed the "Bauerntopf" in the evening with the other students who came to the SMD topic evening.

We had a lot of fun and I am sure that we will be cooking together more often in the future. ????
