Topic

Faith and Thinking - how can this go together? What is the relationship between theology and science? For answering this questions we are very happy to welcome Dr. Detlef Blöcher, who is a doctorate in physics and also studied theology. He will give us an insight whether and who this two worlds can belong together.

Speaker

Dr. Detlef Blöcher, born 1953, studied Physics and Theology. For many decades he worked in the medical research, specialiced in cancer research. During this time he teached at the Uni-Klinik Frankfurt/Main and in Saudi-Arabia. Later on he was the chairmann of the Christian aid and missionary organization DMG interpersonal e.V. He is still involved in empirical social research. Beside that, Blöcher is married and has three grown-up children.
